For more than a century, this silhouette has moved from basketball to music, from skateboarding to fashion, becoming one of the most recognizable icons in footwear history. With Converse First String, the brand introduces a premium line that uses the classic Chuck as its foundation, reinterpreting it with more refined materials, a sturdier construction and a level of attention to detail aimed at those who truly know the model’s legacy.

The Converse First String Chuck Taylor begins with the silhouette that defined the Chuck All Star, but introduces significant construction updates to deliver a more sophisticated and durable version of this classic while preserving its core DNA.

One of the most notable elements is the Vibram® outsole, an unprecedented addition to a pair of Chuck Taylors that brings improved traction, enhanced durability and greater stability.

Inside, the sneaker features a CX insole combined with Nike Air cushioning, a system that significantly improves comfort compared to traditional Converse models. This combination provides softer and longer-lasting cushioning while maintaining the balance between comfort and structure that defines the Chuck.

The silhouette also introduces a slightly wider last, designed to offer more space and improve the overall fit. With this change, the model gains additional comfort while also creating a stronger visual presence.

Another key aspect of the Converse First String project is the selection of materials. The collection arrives in several versions that explore different textures and finishes:

• First String Vintage Canvas, featuring a natural canvas upper combined with leather details, a molded rubber badge and a contrasting heel logo.

• First String Premium Leather, constructed entirely in leather with a leather interior, embossed badge and tonal branding that reinforces its refined character.

• First String Jacquard Knit, introducing a jacquard knit upper combined with a leather interior and embossed details.

Beyond materials, every Converse First String Chuck Taylor incorporates details inspired by archival models from the 1950s and 1960s. The lateral patch, heel plate, toe cap proportions and eyelet placement all reference the heritage of the Converse Chuck.

Even the purchasing experience is part of the project. Each pair comes in premium packaging that includes a high-density box, dust bag, custom laces, special tags—including a Vibram® tag—and a presentation guide for the collection.

A new chapter for the Converse Chuck

With Converse First String, the brand proves that even a century-old icon can evolve without losing its essence. By combining the original Converse Chuck design with higher-quality materials, updated proportions and contemporary technologies, the collection offers a more sophisticated reading of a silhouette that continues to define generations.
